BCC Update 6th April 2020

First, apologies if you received a blank email today!

Thanks to those of you who let me know – here’s the latest from BCC…

BCC Online Sunday No. 3!

It was great to have so many of you at our online Zoom meeting yesterday. Keep coming back when you can, it’s great to know we are able to catch up, hear the word of God together and share prayer requests. Thanks also to the Perkins for their worship leading! And sorry if the sound wasn’t perfect for everyone 🙁

Our meeting ID is 493-739-2679. Join us on Tuesday at 1:30pm for prayer, 1:30pm on Thursday for chats, and of course Sunday at 10:30am to kick-start your week.

Next Sunday is Easter Sunday!

Communion

If you joined us on Zoom 2 Sundays ago you’ll remember that we shared communion together. Let’s do that again this coming Easter Sunday. Join the meeting at the usual time but please have your own bread and wine ready for later in the meeting. Let’s pray that all involved are truly blessed.

Do I need a password?!

Yesterday we were unable to remove the password required to access our meeting. Today that problem seems to have gone away. We just held a meeting for our leaders on the same Meeting ID, and I was able this time to remove the need for a password. Weird. If we need a password again, we’ll let you know as soon as we find out!

Prayer focus of the week…

As a church we believe that prayer is powerful and vital in the life of the believer.

Let’s not lose sight of this as we continue through this season. It may be useful to remember our PRAY acronym:

P raise

R epent

A sk

Y ield

Whilst doing this, let’s make every effort to pray every day to pray for our National Health Service and those we know who work within it. These are most testing times.

Pray that God’s light would shine through those who know him.

It’s good to be unified in prayer, so for one week, until next Sunday, let’s pray every day for the NHS.

Midweek Message

I will be uploading a video every Wednesday morning which should contain more of an extended ‘preach’ for us to reflect on over the following days.

Please make every effort to watch to the end (the more you watch the better it gets!) as there will be a few questions for reflection at the end which I’d like some feedback on. Look out for the video on Wednesday morning – you should receive an email, but if not, go to brixham.church and it should be on the front page.

That’s all for now,

Hope you are staying happy and healthy:

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
