Spiritual Eyes
Space-based telescopes like Hubble get a much clearer view than ground-based telescopes. They’re also able to detect frequencies and wavelengths that ground-based telescopes can’t because the Earth’s atmosphere puts limits on what they can see.
Air superiority is the single most important factor in deciding the outcome of a modern conventional war. In the words of Field Marshal Bernard L. Montgomery, “If we lose the war in the air, we lose the war and we lose it quickly.” Or to put it another way, if we’re going to win this battle on the ground, we must first win it in the air.
For the Christian:
We must see things from a spiritual perspective. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. It is not a battle of the earth, of things evidenced in the 5 senses. Our warfare is spiritual. First we must see that, with a telescope that is not bound by the earth’s limitations or affected by the earth’s atmosphere. Paul says, ‘set your mind on things above, not on earthly things’. We can do this in prayer and by getting into the word of God daily. This will feed your inner self. You wouldn’t stay healthy in the body only eating snacks now and then. Stay spiritually healthy. Don’t sit on the fence.
When we see things as they really are- through spiritual eyes- we are then able to defeat the enemy through prayer. Whatever battle you are going through, the battle is won in the air before it is won on the ground. Air supremacy is not an end in itself. It’s the means by which we see transformation on earth. Keep your mind on heavenly truths. Don’t get pulled down by the world’s perspective. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Keep on praying in the Spirit with all kinds of prayers at all times. You will see a victory, for the battle belongs to the Lord of Angel Armies!
